Dela Rosa says Duterte to give him challenging job in gov’t after retirement
December 12, 2017
Philippine National Police Director General Ronald Dela Rosa on Tuesday said the president promised him a position in the government once he retires in January.
In a press briefing, Dela Rosa said President Rodrigo Duterte will give him the most challenging position in the government. "He (Duterte) said everyone failed in that agency," he said.
He told the reporters to just imagine the most challenging job in the government.
"You do not assume until you have assumed office," Dela Rosa added.
He said Duterte told him to go and fix the problem of that agency.
"I don't run away from challenges especially if it's from someone I respect the most. I will not embarrass him, I will do everything," he said.
Dela Rosa will retire from police service on Jan. 21, 2018. Ella Dionisio/DMS
