Delos Santos negative for gunpowder nitrates: PNP Crime Lab

The Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory said on Wednesday Kian Lloyd Delos Santos who allegedly fired upon police officers and was shot dead in Caloocan, tested negative for gunpowder nitrates.
The paraffin test of delos Santos who died in that August 16 police anti-drug operation was negative,a personnel from the Crime Laboratory-Operations Management Division 3 said in a phone interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun.
Kian allegedly fired at the policemen which prompted cops to shoot him.
Two sachets of suspected shabu and a caliber .45 were recovered from delos Santos by police.
The PNP Crime Laboratory earlier reported that the 17-year-old student sustained two gunshot wounds on contrast to the report of Philippine Attorney’s Office which said delos Santos had three.
The PNP immediately conducted a paraffin test on delos Santos after the incident, police said. The person must undergo the test within 72 hours after death.
Three policemen involved in the incident along with Senior Superintendent Chito Bersaluna, Caloocan City police chief and Northern Police District (NPD) Chief Supt. Roberto Fajardo were administratively relieved by the PNP to give way for impartial investigation. Alanna Ambi/DMS
