Detained Japanese faces another charge

A Japanese who is detained at the Mandaluyong City Police Station was slapped with a charge for raping the daughter of his former wife.

Mandaluyong CPS chief of police, Colonel Remigio Sedante said Monday a warrant of arrest was served around 2:30 pm on October 17 at their custodial facility unit.

“We served another warrant at the jail,” Sedante told The Daily Manila Shimbun in a text message.

No information was given when the alleged rape incident transpired.

"We don't have the case record. We only received the arrest warrant," the chief of police said.  

Sedante said the Japanese is detained for a  different case.

Sedante added no bail was recommended for the foreigner. Ella Dionisio/DMS
