Distribution of fuel vouchers to jeepney operators starts

The government on Monday has begun giving fuel vouchers for jeepney operators. The fuel vouchers cost P5,000 and around 10,000 beneficiaries in Metro Manila can get these at the Land Transportation Main Office (LTO) main office in Quezon City until Wednesday. On Monday, about 500 operators got voucher cards at the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in Quezon City . The government said around 179,000 operators of public utility jeepneys across the country will benefit from the program which will reduce the impact of rising fuel  prices. LTFRB chief Martin Delgra III said the subsidy amount to P800 per month within six months. DMS
