DOH monitoring recovered COVID-19 patients who continue to experience symptoms

The Department of Health (DOH) is watching carefully patients who recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases but continue to experience symptoms.
In a virtual press briefing Monday, Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said they are conducting "passive monitoring" of COVID-19 survivors through local health officials.
"This is going to be a passive monitoring, where individuals are instructed to call their local health officers if and when they experience COVID-19-related symptoms again," said Vergeire.

eported cases of "long COVID-19" in the country remain anecdotal.
Some COVID-19 survivors say they experience headaches, difficulty in sleeping, chest pains, loss of sense of taste and smell, and exhaustion.
A total of 310,158 COVID-19 patients have recovered as of October 18. DMS
