DOH reports 1,392 new cases, total now 58, 850

After two days of sub-1,000 new coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) cases, the Department of Health (DOH) reported 1,392 new cases on Wednesday.
This brought total cases to 58,850. Active cases net of COVID-19 deaths and recoveries are at 36, 260.
Out of the active cases, DOH said mild cases account for 90.6 percent, asymptomatic 8.6 percent, severe 0.4 percent and critical 0.5 percent.
National Capital Region accounted for 708 of the new cases followed by Cebu with 198, Iloilo 86, Laguna 64 and Cavite 46, DOH said.
Eleven persons died, bringing the total to 1,614. Recoveries reached 517, raising the aggregate to 20, 976. DMS
