DOH reports 1,574 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) said Monday that new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reached 1, 574, bringing total cases to 441, 399.
It was the third straight day where new cases rose after it hit a low of 934 on December 4.
Active cases amounted to 24, 125 out of which 84.6 percent are mild. However, asymptomatic cases reached 6.4 percent, while critical cases were 5.8 percent, severe 2.9 percent and moderate 0.32 percent.
Davao City topped the areas with the most number of cases at 187 followed by Rizal Province with 96. Pampanga came in next with 80, Quezon City at 69 and Pasig City 59.
Eighteen persons died from COVID-19, placing total deaths to 8, 572.
Eighty persons rebounded from COVID-19, putting total recoveries at 408, 702. DMS
