DOH reports 3,257 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) said Friday 3,257 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases were reported even as 20 laboratories were unable to submit reports on Sept. 17.
This brings total cases to 279,526 total cases, of which 65, 906 are active. Out of the active cases, 87.5 percent are mild, critical reached 2.6 percent and severe, 1.1 percent.
The National Capital Region (NCR), with 997, topped areas with new cases followed by Bulacan, 282; Cavite, 179; Negros Occidental, 152 and Cebu 127.
Forty-seven persons died from COVID-19, with 23 coming from the NCR. Total fatalities from COVID-19 reached 4,830.
There were 733 persons who survived COVID-19, raising total recoveries to 208, 790. DMS
