DOH reports nearly 3,000 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,996 new coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) cases on Friday even as 12 laboratories failed to submit data.
Total cases reached 334, 770 of which 53, 311 remained active, the DOH said. Out of the active cases, 85.8 percent are mild, asymptomatic 9.9 percent, critical 3 percent and severe 1.4 percent.
Eighty-three persons died from COVID-19, with 38 coming from the National Capital Region. Total deaths are now at 6, 152.
The DOH said 1,045 persons survived COVID-19, bringing total recoveries to 275, 307. DMS
