DOH says daily COVID-19 cases reach 2,987

After a record daily coronavirus disease (COVID-19) case on Monday, the Department of Health reported 2,987 new cases on Tuesday.
Total cases are at 139, 538 of which 68, 794 are active. Out of the active cases, mild cases account for 91.6 percent, asymptomatic 7.2 percent, severe and critical 0.6 percent.
From the daily cases, National Capital Region accounted for 1,510 followed by Cavite 398, Laguna 144, Iloilo 135 and Cebu 119.
Recoveries totalled 68, 432 after 280 persons survived COVID-19.
There were 19 deaths reported bringing the total to 2,312. Eight of these took place in August, seven in July. DMS
