The Department of Tourism (DOT) on Tuesday issued a show cause order against City Garden Grand Hotel after a PAL Express flight attendant was found unconscious in one of their hotel rooms last January 1.

DOT said only permitted guests can check in subject to allowable room occupancy under their guidelines.

“On the other hand, DOT Administrative Order no. 2020-006-C provides that hotels accommodating guests for staycation purposes must not be concurrently used as a quarantine or isolation facility,” it added.

DOT directed the hotel management to explain in writing why its accreditation ''should not be suspended or revoked for violation of the foregoing issuances'' within three days after receiving the show cause order.
