Duterte names 2 new members of ERC

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed two new members of the Energy Regulatory Commission.

In a statement on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte named Floresinda G. Baldo-Digal and Marko Romeo Lizada Fuentes to ERC.

"We hope the appointment of Ms. Digal and Mr. Fuentes will promote and protect the interests of ordinary power consumers especially in this challenging time," he said.

Prior to her appointment, Digal was a director and spokesperson of ERC. She replaced Josefina Patricia A. Magpale-Asirit and will serve until July 10, 2027.

Fuentes, a certified public accountant and who came from Davao City, replaced retired ERC Commissioner Paul Christian Cervantes. Celerina Monte/DMS
