April 26, 2018
President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the disclosure of the names of the barangay officials who are included in the so-called "narco-list."
In a press briefing on Thursday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Duterte has given the directive to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
"The President has already ordered the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency to disclose the names of barangay officials included in its list of all those allegedly involved in the illegal drugs trade," he said.
The order came as the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections will be held on May 14.
Duterte earlier said some 9,000 government officials, including the village officials, policemen, and judges, among others were included in his narco-list. Celerina Monte/DMS
