Duterte places again Metro Manila, nearby provinces under MECQ effective midnight Aug. 4

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the recommendation of the Department of Health to place again Metro Manila and nearby provinces under the modified enhanced community quarantine effective midnight of August 4, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Aside from Metro Manila, MECQ, a stricter quarantine measure restricting the movement of the people, will also be imposed for 15 days in the provinces of Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite and Rizal, he said. Celerina Monte/DMS
