President Rodrigo Duterte said he is sure US President Donald Trump will not discuss alleged extrajudicial killings during their meeting at the East Asian Summit in Manila.
"I'm sure he will not take it up," Duterte said in a press conference Sunday morning after returning from Vietnam.
He added, during their brief conversation in Vietnam, Trump gave him words of encouragement in his illegal drug campaign and the recent Marawi siege.
"He said something about, you know, you handle it very well," Duterte said.
Duterte said they did not talk about the extra-judicial killings because it is not true and his administration didn't do it.
He added only a representative from Human Rights Commission in US can discuss alleged extrajudicial killings with him.
