Duterte skips APEC gala dinner

DA NANG -- President Rodrigo Duterte skipped Friday night the  Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) gala dinner and cultural presentation hosted by Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang.

Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Cayetano and his wife, Lani, are attending on behalf of Duterte.

Cayetano said Duterte wanted to rest  due to his early schedule at the APEC leaders' retreat Saturday. DMS
