August 24, 2020
President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to address the public on Monday night after his meeting with some Cabinet officials in Davao City.
"Yes, there will be an address, I believe," said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque when asked during the press briefing if Duterte would have a speech.
Prior to his address, Roque said Duterte was asking various government agencies for their reports on coronavirus-related expenses.
"One of the things that the President is asking for his speech is the report of all the government agencies on how they spent the COVID-related expenses. So, the President will report that," he said.
Roque was one of the Cabinet members who flew to Davao City to attend the meeting with the President. Celerina Monte/DMS
