May 18, 2020
President Rodrigo Duterte is set to return to Manila on Monday night after spending his weekend in Davao City.
In a press briefing on Monday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, however, said he was not sure if Duterte could deliver his public address Monday night, which he has been doing for the past weeks since the government enforced quarantine measures due to coronavirus disease pandemic.
"The President will return (to Manila) tonight," he said.
Duterte flew to Davao City last Saturday after two months. He made the visit to his hometown after it shifted to general community quarantine from enhanced community quarantine.
Roque earlier said that the President also wanted to check the situation in Mindanao where there are also cases of coronavirus. Celerina Monte/DMS
