Duterte warns foreigners linked to illegal drugs, they can’t leave country alive
October 25, 2018
With the continuous campaign against illegal drugs, President Rodrigo Duterte has warned foreigners involved in illegal drugs they could not leave the country alive.
This, he said should serve as a notice to the foreign embassies in the Philippines to caution their nationals.
"So to all the drug addicts who are big time, especially foreigners, be careful of what I said. I have proven it several time. You will not go home. You will not go out of this country alive," he said in a speech in Malacanang on Wednesday.
"So that put your embassy and everybody on notice, not here. You can't go out," Duterte stressed.
Since he assumed office by middle of 2016, Dutere has declared an all-out war against illegal drugs.
Over 4,000 individuals allegedly involved in illegal drugs have already been killed in the police operations.
The foul-mouthed Duterte said he could be criticized for being not a statesman.
"I have bad attitude, I'm a killer, the more I am," he said, adding that he has to be tough against illegal drugs and corruption. Celerina Monte/DMS
