Duterte’s position vs revolutionary gov’t clear, no need for dialogue with proponents – Palace

Malacanang said on Thursday that President Rodrigo Duterte's position against revolutionary government is clear and there is no need for him to talk with the proponents.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reiterated Duterte's recent statement that he had nothing to do with the call for a revolutionary government since he is more focused in addressing the problems due to coronavirus disease pandemic.
"So, the President's statement is very clear, he has nothing to do with the revgov. That is sufficient already," he said in a televised press briefing when asked if Duterte is ready to hold a dialogue with the group pushing for revolutionary government.
He said even the Cabinet members who could have been pushing for the revolutionary government should know Duterte's position on the matter.
The Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte - National Executice Coordinating Committee, which pushed for Duterte's presidential bid in 2016, reportedly organized the recent meeting in Clark, Pampanga where participants had covenant to push for revolutionary government.
Under the plan, Duterte will be installed as president until 2021 and to have a new constitution with a federal form of government. Celerina Monte/DMS
