Envoys to present credentials to Duterte via online, first in history, says Palace
June 15, 2020
President Rodrigo Duterte is set to receive this week five to six envoys when they present their credentials, Malacañang said on Monday.
But the acceptance of credentials would be held via video conference, first time in history, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a virtual press briefing.
"I know that within the week, he (Duterte) will be accepting the credentials of at least five or six ambassadors, but this will be done online. So, for the first time in history, ambassadors will present their credentials online," he said.
Roque said one ambassador would also have a farewell call, but this would be done in person.
The Palace has not released yet the official schedule of the President for this week. Celerina Monte/DMS
