Ex-barangay chairman allegedly in Duterte drug list shot dead in Cavite

A former barangay chairman said to be in President Rodrigo Duterte's list of politicians involved in illegal drug trade was shot dead by unidentified men in Imus City, Cavite on Tuesday.
Gaudencio Herrera, 59, died from multiple gunshot wounds at the Emilio Aguinaldo College Medical Center where he was brought by bystanders.
A report from the Cavite provincial police said Herrera was shot in Barangay Malagasang 2-C at around 6:30 a.m.
Herrera, a former barangay captain of Malagasang 2-C, was sitting in front of a store when two men appeared. One of the suspects, armed with a .45 caliber pistol, shot Herrera several times before the culprits fled. DMS
