Ex-cop dies of gunshot in Malate

A former policeman was killed in a shooting incident in Malate on Thursday night.

In a report, the Manila Police District identified the slain victim as Rolando Yulo, 49, a resident 740 Balingkit St., Barangay 712, Malate.

Based on an initial report, Yulo was exercising while sitting on a monobloc chair at the rooftop of his residence when he fell to the ground after being shot on the head. The gunshot was heard around 6:10 pm.

Yulo was rushed to the Manila Doctors Hospital by his helpers who witnessed the incident.

According to the MPD, Gabriel Cabatan, the attending physician of Manila Doctors Hospital, said Yulo who was declared dead  around 6:30 pm. Robina Asido/DMS
