Ex-Davao City VM Paolo receives birthday cake from Duterte, stepsister

President Rodrigo Duterte attended on Saturday night the birthday party of his son, former Davao City Mayor Paolo Duterte, who turned 43 years old.

The event, which was held in Davao City, turned out to be a sort of a reunion of Duterte's first family as his former wife, Elizabeth Zimmerman, their daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio and husband, Manases Carpio, and their children, as well as Paolo's own family, were also present.

Sebastian, Duterte's youngest son with Zimmerman, was not present.

Paolo, who replied to one of his followers in his Facebook page when asked where his younger brother was, said he was in Butuan City holding a concert.

Paolo thanked Duterte and his stepsister Veronica or Kitty for the three-layered blue cake that was given to him and was posted on his FB.

Veronica is Duterte's daughter with long time partner Cielito "Honeylet" Avancena.

Paolo quit as Davao vice mayor on December 25 last year after his name was dragged into the alleged smuggling activities in the Bureau of Customs and following his public squabble with his daughter with his first wife.
