Fake cop arrested in Quezon City

The Quezon City Police Department (QCPD) on Sunday arrested a fake policeman after sachets of shabu was found in his possession in a checkpoint at Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo, QC director, said a bogus cop, Joselito Luz, 54 was arrested around 6:10 pm at Batasan-San Mateo Road.
Montejo said policemen manning the checkpoint flagged down Luz and they saw him wearing a police athletic t-shirt.
“The suspect who wore a police upper athletic shirt introduced himself as policeman. He was asked for his police identification but failed to show it,” Montejo said.
He added the suspect has no driver’s license and showed a traffic violation receipt.
“The uneasy suspect was frisked and yielded from him were sachets of shabu valued at P2,500,” Montejo said.
Luz was brought to Police Station 6 and will be charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Ella Dionisio/DMS
