Filipina reported missing found dead after Taiwan quake: MECO

A Filipina reported missing after a magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck Hualien City in Taiwan on Wednesday was found dead, the Manila Economic and Cultural Ofice (MECO) said.
Speaking over dzMM, MECO head Lito Banayo said the Filipina's name was Melody Castro Albano from Cagayan province.
Banayo said she was a caretaker, which is the equivalent of a domestic help.
"We were just informed. Everybody here in the office is sad," said Banayo. "Her family has been told."
Banayo said a MECO team, led by the labor attache is in Hualien to check on how Filipinos are faring
There are around 133,000 Filipinos living and working in Taiwan as of June 2017.
Banayo earlier said the Filipina was a caretaker in a nursing home inside the building that collapsed when the quake hit. DMS
