Filipino fatally stabbed by countryman in Saudi Arabia

A Filipino was fatally stabbed by a countryman in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia last Sunday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Tuesday.
Philippine Consul General in Jeddah Edgar Badjaos said the fatality is a 29-year-old from Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao who works as a family driver in Jeddah.
Badajos said the assailant is a fellow Filipino who works as a driver for the same Saudi family.
Badajos said the assailant, 34, single, from Capiz, was arrested by police immediately after the incident and remains in detention.
The two allegedly engaged in a fistfight in front of the house of their employer that ended in the victim getting fatally stabbed by his fellow driver.
Badajos said the Consulate General and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Jeddah will extend full assistance to both Filipinos and their families. DMS
