Filipino found hanging from ceiling fan in flat in Bahrain: DFA

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said a Filipino was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the flat he was sharing with his sister in Bahrain.

In a statement on Saturday, the DFA said Ambassador Alfonso Ver is in contact with Bahraini authorities over the incident which was reported on Thursday.

DFA did not give the name of the worker but said he is 37 years old and from Quezon.

It added that Ver assured the family the Philippine embassy will arrange for the repatriation of the worker's remains as soon as Bahraini authorities finish medico-legal procedures. DMS
