Fire at roofdeck of hotel near NAIA put out after an hour

A fire hit the Sheraton Hotel beside Resorts World near NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City on Friday afternoon.
FO1 Mark Santos, Bureau of Fire and Protection in Pasay City said in a phone interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun the fire involved a cooling tower at the roof deck where welding was going on.
Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Director General Jim Sydiongco said in a viber message: "Air traffic control was not disrupted".
Santos said they received a report about the fire at 3:34 pm. It reached second alarm at 3:48 pm and was put out at 4:30 pm., he added.
He said the cause of the fire is not yet determined. Alanna Ambi/DMS
