Five cops COVID-19 positive, total now 55

The Philippine National Police- Health Service said five more cops were positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) bringing their total to 55, according to PNP spokesperson on Wednesday.
In a statement, Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said PNP-HS is observing the 105 personnel considered as Probable Persons Under Investigation (Probable PUIs) which are broken down into 20 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO), 84 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) and one Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP)
In addition, a total 456 personnel were recommended as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (Suspected PUIs) composed of 99 PCO, 320 PNCO, and 37 NUP.
Banac said eight cops already recovered from the pandemic.
On its second week of operation, the Kiangan Billeting Center, Camp Crame’s quarantine facility, has admitted 20 PNP personnel listed as PUIs and who undergo self-quarantine.
"The Spring Hotel also accommodated about 93 PNP personnel including 15 PCO, 57 PNCO, 12 NUP, and nine civilians,” he said. Ella Dionisio/DMS
