Former child actor arrested for alleged frustrated homicide

A former child actor was arrested in Marikina City Friday night for allegedly frustrated homicide.

In a report from Eastern Police District (EPD), Jiro Manio, 27, was arrested for reportedly assaulting Zeus Doctolero around 7:20 pm at M.A Roxas St,. Barangay San Roque.

Doctolero, 25 and jobless, was on his way to his friend's house when the  incident happened, sparking a fist fight. 

“Manio pulled a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim three times, with sustained injuries on his upper back and head,” said Police Major Virgilio Timajo, EPD’s public information officer.

Timajo said Doctolero grabbed the knife from Manio and broke its handle.

Doctolero was  brought to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center but refused to be confined there. Police did say where Doctolero was confined.

Manio was arrested and detained at the Marikina City Police Station. Ella Dionisio/DMS
