Former Manila vice mayor appointed board member of North Rail

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former Manila Vice Mayor Francisco Moreno Domagoso as member of the board of directors of North Luzon Railways Corporation. Domagoso, who ran and lost in the senatorial race in the May 2016 elections, said he was nominated by the board as the chairman and CEO of North Luzon Railways Corporation. He thanked Duterte for giving him the opportunity to go back to public service. He vowed to do his best for the "development of the incoming projects, to develop mass transit in the metropolis and the ongoing plan from Tutuban (Manila) to Angeles, Clark railway system under the DOTr (Department of Transportation) headed by Secretary (Arthur) Tugade."
