Four killed as ambulance, truck collide in Quezon

Four persons died, including a 12-year-old boy, while three were injured after the ambulance where they were onboard collided with a ten-wheeler truck in Tagkawayan, Quezon Wednesday morning.
The Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station said the collision happened around 9:30 am along Quirino Hi-way, Barangay San Vicente.
Initial investigation showed the ambulance which came from Gubat, Sorsogon was heading towards Manila when the truck, coming from the opposite direction, occupied their lane which caused the vehicular accident.
The truck also hit a car, which was parked at the road.
Respondents immediately brought the victims to the hospital but three of them, including the ambulance driver, were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The remaining victims sustained physical injuries and while undergoing treatment, the young boy died. The three patients are confined at the hospital.
