June 9, 2020
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Tuesday revealed that 40 employees of the Department of Justice ( DOJ) tested positive for COVID-19 after being subjected to rapid anti-body testing for coronavirus disease.
Guevarra said the employees will be subjected to a more reliable swab test.
According to the DOJ chief, they have disinfected the premises to prevent other employees from being infected.
“We've disinfected the premises over the weekend, and we'll do it all over again. We will also decide if we need to suspend all work on site in the meantime,” Guevarra said.
''As to the rest of DOJ personnel reporting for work on site, they will undergo rapid testing today and tomorrow (June 9 and June 10) with the help of medical personnel from the Chinese General Hospital,” he added. DMS
