Health worker is Baguio’s first COVID-19 local transmission case

BAGUIO CITY – A health worker at the City Health Services Office is this city's first COVID-19 local transmission.
Joel Junsay, 52, of Barangay New Lucban had executed an affidavit Saturday allowing his details to be revealed“ to save the lives of persons he came in contact with”, said Baguio City public information officer Aileen Paguio-Refuerzo.
He is the 12th COVID-19 positive case.
Junsay’s test result showing positive COVID-19 infection was known Saturday.
He said he developed signs and symptoms last March 12. He had no travel history outside Baguio .
The health worker was among those tested by the Huawei Artifical Intelligence CT scan analyzer which began to be used two days ago.
With Junsay's revelation, Baguio City has now the highest COVID-19 positive cases in the Cordillera Region.
Two positive cases each were reported by the regional Department of Health in Abra and Benguet. DMS
