Hundreds of families near mining pit in Toledo evacuated

Hundreds of families living near the mining pit that collapsed in Toledo City, Cebu were evacuated, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Tuesday.
The PCG said a total of 400 families were evacuated on Sunday.
The evacuation was made following the landslide incident at the Carmen Pit of the Carmen Copper Corp. mine site last Dec. 21, 2020 where four people died and six were missing.
A total of 11 people were also injured because of the landslide that occurred in the area last Dec. 21, 2020. Robina Asido/DMS
