The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has allowed the restaurants and cafes in the hotels and clubhouses to operate at 30 percent venue capacity to ensure social distancing in areas under general community quarantine, Malacañang said on Friday.
In a virtual press briefing, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the IATF decision is contained in the amended omnibus guidelines on the implementation of community quarantine in the Philippines as of June 25.
"The restaurants and cafes in the hotels are now allowed to operate until 9 o'clock in the evening provided that their operation is 30 percent venue capacity and social distancing protocols must be enforced and follow the protocols of DOT (Department of Tourism) or guidelines of DTI (Department of Trade and Industry), DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) or DOH (Department of Health)," he said.
He said the IATF also approved the operation of restaurants and cafes in clubhouses under the outdoor non-contact sports and other exercises under similar conditions as those in the hotels.
Roque said the task force also allowed visits in open memorial parks and cemeteries.
"Visits to open-air memorial parks and cemeteries shall be limited to not more than 10 persons per group," the IATF said.
The number of groups allowed at any given time shall be left to the discretion of the management of such memorial parks and cemeteries taking into consideration minimum public health standards and social distancing, it added.
