IATF OKs “time-based reckoning” of COVID-19 recoveries
July 30, 2020
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases approved on Thursday the recommendations of the Department of Health on "time-based reckoning" of coronavirus disease recoveries.
IATF Resolution No. 60 said the time-based reckoning of recoveries of mild and asymptomatic patients who have completed 14 days of isolation from the date of onset of illness or specimen collection shall be immediately implemented.
The task force directed the Department of Interior and Local Government to reiterate and cascade recovery policies to the local government units regarding the 14-day policy.
The IATF also approved to enforce submission of accurate, complete, and timely reports to the DOH through COVID-Kaya - including the updating of health status and outcomes of patients upon discharge, recovery, or death by all hospitals, LGUs, and disease reporting units.
The task force also amended its previous resolution regarding the guidelines to inbound travelers and the issuance of visas.
It reiterated that visa issuance to all foreign nationals is suspended with immediate effect.
"Foreign spouses, minor children including children with special needs, regardless of ages, of Filipino nationals as well as foreign parents of minor Filipino nationals including children with special needs regardless of age; provided they secure or possess the appropriate visas (are allowed entry)," the IATF resolution said.
