Incoming barangay chairman in Palawan town killed as he resisted serving of search warrant

An incoming barangay chairman in Palawan was killed as he allegedly fought back against police, military and anti-illegal drug operatives Friday morning.
Pistoh Hamja of Mangsee, Balabac was said to have fought against a team made up of Palawan police, Philippine National Police Maritime Group and Marines implementing a search warrant against Hamja and Hassan Jaulkalnain Usman and Apeh Julayh at 3 am.
Usman and Julayh escaped.
Based on a report by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA), three persons living in the house with Hamja were arrested. They were Taypong Nakiniral, Amiltu Manne and Alsanol Jamil. Also found where several sachets of suspected shabu.
Despite the escape of Usman and Julayli, the search warrant was still served and several sachets of alleged shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia were recovered from their respective homes.
Cases are set to be filed against arrested suspects and for the two who escaped. DMS
