Israel donates medical supplies to Philippines

The Israel government donated medical supplies to support the country’s efforts against coronavirus disease.
Arsenio Ansolong, Department of National Defense (DND) public affairs service chief, said the donation for the Armed Forces of the Philippine (AFP) were formally received by Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana from Israeli Ambassador Rafael Harpaz in a ceremony at Villamor Air Base in Pasay City on Tuesday.
"Joining Secretary Lorenzana in receiving the donation from Israel are (Office of Civil Defense) OCD Administrator Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad, Undersecretary Robert Eric Borje from the Office of the President, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Felimon Santos Jr., (Philippine Air Force) PAF Commanding General Lt. Gen. Allen Paredes, AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence Major Gen. Greg Almerol, AFP Chief of Intelligence Service Brig. Gen.Oliver Artuz and OCD Director Raffy Alejandro," he said.
Andolong said the donation from Israel includes 50,000 pieces of medical gloves, 30,000 pieces of surgical masks, and 3,000 pieces of N95 filtered face masks.
"The donation also included 4,500 medical gowns, 1,500 pieces of face shields and a number of non-contact thermometers," he said.
Andolong said the donated medical supplies were handed over to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) for inventory and distribution. Robina Asido/DMS
