JAL launching new route Tokyo (Haneda) route to Manila on Feb 1, 2019
September 6, 2018
Japan Airlines (JAL) will launch a new route between Tokyo (Haneda) to Manila starting February 1 2019, the airline company said Thursday.
"With an influx of Japanese companies in the Philippines, the country is achieving remarkable economic growth where the demand for tourism from both Japan and the Philippines is expected to rise over time. By launching the Tokyo (Haneda) = Manila route, JAL looks to strengthen its presence in this diverse market," JAL said.
By setting departure time at midnight and arrival time during early morning hours at Haneda airport, customers can seamlessly connect with flights throughout JAL`s domestic network, the airline company said.
"Together with the existing flights from Narita, JAL will soon operate three daily flights to Manila providing customers with more convenient travel options," JAL added.
This is part of JAL's expansion of its Southeast Asian regional network where JAL and Garuda Indonesia signed a new agreement to give more travel options between the two countries.
JAL and Garuda will start offering codeshare flights on select routes to expand the Japan = Indonesia network.
These plans and schedule are subject to government approval, JAL said. DMS
