Japanese arrested after allegedly hitting head of 11-year-old girl

A Japanese national was arrested by airport police after allegedly hitting the head of an 11-year- old girl at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Thursday night.
Based on initial report from the airport police, the incident happened at the vicinity of the arrival customs area of NAIA Terminal 1 around 11:15 pm.
The airport police in NAIA terminal one did not give details about the incident but the suspect was arrested for alleged violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The report noted that the victim was assisted by her father.
The case has been transferred to the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) of the Pasay City Police Office.
