Japanese national loses wallet to thieves in Makati

A Japanese national was victimized by thieves in Makati City on Thursday night.
Supt. Jenny Tecson, public information officer of the Southern Police District, said the incident happened in front of T7 Bar along Arnaiz Ave., Brgy. San Lorenzo, Makati City around 11:30 pm.
Tecson said based on initial report the victim was looking for his driver when two suspects approached him and borrowed a lighter.
She said the victim noticed his wallet was missing after one of the suspects identified as Cris Christopherson Plaza, 22, touched his waist and pockets.
“When they left, he noticed his brown wallet was missing,” she said.
Tecson said according to the victim his wallet contains an alien card, credit card (Buruga) RCBC ATM card, driver's license (Philippines) and P 2,000.00 cash.
The victim sought the help of local security volunteers which resulted in the arrest of Plaza.
Tecson said the victim still failed to recover his wallet as it was taken by the other suspect who managed to escape.
She said the police are conducting follow-up investigation to identify and apprehend the other suspect. Robina Asido/DMS
