Japanese robbed of iPhone 6: police

June 20, 2017

A Japanese national was robbed of iPhone 6 after engaging in a fight with her boyfriend in Baguio City on Sunday morning, a police official said. The iPhone 6 was taken by an unidentified suspect at 4:45 am along Lions Club, Gov. Pack Road Baguio City, a police report said. Senior Superintendent Ramil Saculles, police director of Baguio City, said in a phone interview with the Daily Manila Shimbun Tuesday, the victim and her boyfriend quarreled and broke up right before the incident. Saculles said the victim reported the incident on the afternoon of June 19. He said the robbery may have something to do with the breakup of the couple since the victim reported the incident late and she did not follow up the report. According to the victim she cannot remember anything about the robbery, Saculles said. He said there is a possibility the two drunk some alcohol before engaging in a fight because the place of the incident is just 50 to 70 meters away from a bar. (Alanna Ambi/DMS)
