July 31 declared as regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha

President Rodrigo Duterte declared Friday, July 31, a regular holiday in observance of Eid'l Adha or Feast of Sacrifice.
Eid'l Adha is one of the two greatest feasts of Islam.
Duterte issued Proclamation No. 985 dated July 29 for the holiday declaration.
"The observance of Eid'l Adha is subject to existing community quarantine and social distancing measures," the Proclamation read.
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos has recommended that July 31 be declared as a regular holiday to observe Eid'l Adha. Celerina Monte/DMS
