Kid killed, another hurt when hit by van in Batangas highway

A 10-year old girl died while her companion was injured after being hit by a truck van when crossing the highway in Sto. Tomas, Batangas Saturday afternoon.

Batangas Provincial Police Office identified the fatality as Kimberly Mesias.

Initial report said around 12:50 p.m. when Mesias and her friend, Andrea Carpio, were crossing the highway located at Brgy. San Pablo, Sto. Tomas when they were accidentally hit by a truck van driven by a certain Ronilo Porsuelo.

Mesias died on the spot while Carpio sustained injuries and was brought to St. Cabrini Medical Center for treatment.
