Lorenzana says he is negative for COVID-19

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said on Wednesday he tested negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"Dear everyone, My test came out negative. Thanks for the prayers," he said.
Lorenzana undergone swab testing after one of his staff tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Lorenzana immediately placed himself under quarantine while he waited for his test result.
Last Monday, DND conducted mandatory rapid testing for its employees.
As of Wednesday, the DND did not say how many employees tested positive during the rapid test, but they noted employees will have to undergo swab test to confirm if they are infected with COVID-19.
The DND also locked down its main building from 12pm of June 15 to 16 to disinfect the building and its premises.
Normal office operations at the DND's main building inside Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City will resume on Friday. Robina Asido/DMS
