Lorenzana welcomes appointment of Faeldon in OCD

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana welcomed the appointment of former Customs chief Nichanor Faeldon as the Deputy Director III of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
"The position of Deputy Director III of OCD was vacant and Undersecretary (Ricardo) Jalad was in the hunt for replacement," Lorenzana said Wednesday.
"We did not request for Nick Faeldon nevertheless we welcome him with open arms the team OCD," he added.
Lorenzana emphasized that Faeldon will be an asset to their organization.
"Nick would be a most welcome addition to our OCD team," he said.
"He is honest, dedicated and competent and he would be an asset to the organization," he added.
Faeldon was a captain in the Philippine Marines when he joined other Navy officers in the Oakwood Mutiny in 2003. Robina Asido/DMS
