Low pressure area east of Daet may become tropical depression in 48 hours
August 28, 2020
A low pressure area was located 915 kilometers east of Daet, Camarines Norte as of 10 am Friday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
"This low pressure area may develop into Tropical Depression "Julian" in the next 48 hours," said Pagasa.
It added that since the low pressure area is forecast to remain far from the Philippine landmass raising of tropical cyclone wind signal over any part of the country is less likely.
Metro Manila and rest of the country is expected to experience partly cloudy and cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms, Pagasa said. DMS
