LPG tank explodes killing one, injuring another

One worker died while another was severely injured after a liquefied petroleum gas tank they were cleaning exploded in a warehouse in Pasay City Sunday morning.
Pasay City Senior Fire Officer 4 Bernardo Bermejo identified the fatality as Renato Gaspar, 49, while the wounded person was Felix Angana.
He said the incident occurred at around 9 a.m. when the two victims were cleaning the tank inside the Island Air Products Corporation located at 137 Virata Street, Pasay City.
He said while one of the victims was grinding a rusty LPG, it suddenly exploded.
Gaspar died on the spot after the cover of the LPG severely hit his head, while Angana was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
Authorities were still conducting a full investigation of the incident. Ella Dionisio/DMS
